It was restored and almost completely renovated in 1792, 1848 and recently. Now it is a fanciful building, which preserves an old round tower attached.
The castle has a bastion with a half-dotted arched door, above which is the date 1848 and a stone that has reliefs with castles of three towers within Gothic arches. On both the right and left sides of the bastion there are cylindrical towers. Inside there is a large square patio.
The two wings of the building have a series of portals that are topped by a stone railing describing Gothic motifs, except that of the left that also has a porch of arches in the shape of a flame. The central body of the building has two semicircular arched doorways. Above, and partially covering the arched beads are: on the right is a wrought iron balcony with a French door and drainage, and on the left a balcony with two French doors.Inside you can see a series of semicircular arches of a very old character. There is also a large cylindrical tower in the backyard.
It is a castle documented at 1352 AC.
The place of Llorenç was located in the municipality of Castellví de la Marca. There are those who claim that for the years 1027-1037 Mir Llop Sanç, who had the Castle of Banyeres, was titled lord of the castle and the lands of Llorenç. In the twelfth century there are certain people named Llorenç (Ramón de Llorenç), but the castle will not have specific documentary news until the 14th century.
In 1371 King Peter the Ceremonious sold the jurisdiction of the castles of Llorenç and Lleger to Bernat Tous. The Tous had the castle until Beatrice de Tous was the last possessor due to a lack of direct male succession. Then the castle passed into the hands of the widow of Lazarus Desbosc and Vilagaia until 1671 when Frederic Desbosc and Sant Vicenç died.
In the 18th century it was owned by the Foixà and after the barons of Maldà. It was later restored and although it dates back to 1848, it is thought that the restoration is later.
It consists of 1578m2 built, distributed on several levels with large bedrooms, bathrooms, pictures, living rooms, large living rooms, terraces, pen, orchard, gardens, attic, doors to places still unknown, dungeon, kitchens, walls decorated with floral motifs, pieces of antiquity, different architectural styles, structural antiques in the castle, and various objects of incalculable value in the historical area.
We have the option of acquiring the castle alone for 1,350,000.00€ or with 8 hectares (80,000m2) of agricultural land, currently cultivated with vineyards at full capacity for € 1,900,000.00.
